The unit is suited for surface mounting and is rectangular in shape. The dimensions of the ash urn are 9 inches in width by 5 inches in height, and once installed on your hard surface of choice, the unit extends from the wall by 4-1/2 inches. The ashtray is fashioned out of 18-8 alloy, type-304, 18-gauge stainless steel with a 22-gauge stainless steel ash blade and internal ash receptacle. The ash blade is outfitted with a stainless steel spring-tensioned piano hinge, and this component of the urn is used to transfer ashes into the internal ashtray. A keyed tumbler lock is included in the design to prevent theft and reduce the risk of vandalism. The surface of the unit has a satin finish.
